Party and State leaders commemorate heroic martyrs

A delegation from the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the Government and the Fatherland Front laid wreaths at the heroic martyrs monument in Hanoi on July 27. The delegation included NA chairman Nguyen Phu Trong, Politburo Member and Permanent Member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, Truong Tan Sang, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pham Gia Khiem, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Huynh Dam, Minister of National Defence, Phung Quang Thanh and representatives from the Ministry of Public Security, the Hanoi City People’s Committee as well as many other former Party and State leaders. On the 62nd anniversary of War Invalids and Fallen Combatants Day (July 27), people across the country and many international delegations laid wreaths at the heroic martyrs monument and visited President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum in Hanoi.
